December 16, 2013

Many of our customers from London call us and ask for tips and advice on our stain removal service every day.

As you may already be aware, it’s best to call us as early as possible, the minute you’ve noticed the stain on your carpets or rugs, and — as we give free advice over the phone — feel free to try us now by calling 0208 861 0979.

In most of the cases, the customers themselves are able to remove the stains without the need of a professional carpet cleaners, so here’s how you too can do that:

Check and see how old the stain is

Here’s some nasty stains that need cleaning.

The fresher the stain, the easier it is to remove it. If you’ve done it yourself, tap it first with absorbent tissues, without pressing for too long on the carpet.

The tissues will absorb most of the stain very quickly.

Find the right chemical to use

We use powerful chemicals for stain removal, all approved to British Standards.

Cold water can remove stains, and there are plenty other chemicals on the market to help you remove stains, depending on the nature of the stain and the fabric of your carpet.

If in doubt, just give us a call on 0208 861 0979 and we’ll advise you which chemical is best to use.

Work from the outside when dealing with the stain

the stain is all gone

The stain is all gone, and the carpet is waiting to be professionally cleaned by our team.

Once you’ve found the right chemical to use — or have called us for free advice — start working on the stain from the outside towards the inside.

This method makes sure you minimise the area taken by the stain. With hard work and the proper chemical, you’ll be able to remove the stain in no-time.

Is it worth to remove the stains all by yourself?

If the rest of the carpet is clean and the stain has been completely removed, there’s no need to have your carpets professionally cleaned.

On the other hand, if the carpet is dirty, it’s best to call us directly and we’ll clean the whole carpet, after having removed all the stains from it.
