Have you ever been in a lot of trouble trying to remove carpet stains?

Well, tough dirt and stains can be really hard to get rid of, especially if they were left as is for several days. Some would even resort to disposing their favourite carpet at home because they have given up on getting rid of carpet stains.

Here’s our little secret: you can remove carpet stains, no matter how tough they are!

And we have at least six ways you can make that possible:

Determine the right cleaning technique

Different types of stains call for different techniques in removing them.

So the first thing you have to do is identify what type of stain is on your carpet and then you can determine the right cleaning solution for it.

For instance, there’s a different method in removing stains caused by fruit juice and wine and another one for candle wax.

Make a cleaning solution for stains that are water-soluble.

What you need is one fourth teaspoon of non-bleach detergent.

Simply mix this with 32 ounces of clean water. You can also mix white vinegar with water.

Once you have made your own cleaning solution, apply a generous amount on the portion of the carpet with the stain on it. Then using a soft brush, gently remove the stain.

Remove the stain with vinegar.

As mentioned earlier, you can make use of vinegar as a stain remover, especially for stains caused by urine. Using a soft cloth or rag, wet the stain with water.

Then mix one part water and one part vinegar. Apply the mixture on the stained portion. For best results, you can also clean the stain with bleach detergent and water after applying the vinegar solution.

Use salt as stain remover.

Stains caused by fruit juice and wine can be removed using salt.

Just put a small amount of table salt on the stained portion and wait until it absorbs the colour and moisture.

Spray a cleaning solution and leave on for several minutes. After which, remove the stain with a soft brush. Repeat as necessary.

Remove oil, wax, and gum stains with ice.

Removing stains caused by wax is tricky. But with some ice cubes at home, you can successfully remove them.

Just put some ice cubes on the stain to cool them. When the stain is cooled, use a knife or blade to remove the stain. Use vacuum cleaner to remove the residues.

Use alcohol.

When your carpet gets stained with paste or glue, you can use some rubbing alcohol to remove them.

With a clean cloth, apply some rubbing alcohol on the stain and gently press the area. Wipe it off with a clean cloth and repeat as necessary.

Thankfully, you don’t have to throw your carpet away if it gets stained. With these tips, you can easily get rid of tough stains!

By using simple products like microfiber towels and the right cleaning products, there is always a solution to remove carpet stains.
